They have shown gratitude by taking care of these gifts knowing that kindness and giving is important in everyones lives. \r\n\r\nWhat can I say about those bright green chairs but they are a BUNCH of fun for everyone. Our students were so excited to participate in this activity. We first caught their attention by the \"coop\" my assistant and I created for the future chicks. They were further intrigued by the incubator itself and wondered as well as asked what it was for. After brainstorming for a bit, we finally told them and put the eggs inside and started our journey. \r\nStudents were so curious about what was happening in the incubator and were fascinated as we first checked to see if the eggs were in fact growing chicks. The candler on the incubator helped them see the beginnings of the chicks. As the chicks grew, we were able to see their movements within the eggshells.\r\nOnce the chicks began to hatch, their excitement was at an all time high and we couldn't wait to see the new chicks. The smiles and excitement on their faces was exhilarating. \r\nOnce all the chicks hatched and we moved them to their new home, students couldn't wait to hold them and see them eat and drink. The warmer helped the chicks keep growing and we were able to see new feathers growing. \r\nWe did have to say goodbye to our chicks once they started flying around. One of our assistants lives in a rural area and has a larger coop. She was able to give the chicks a good home.\r\nFor future learning, our school is planning to build a coop outside so we may be able to see chicks grow into chickens and maybe even have them lay eggs! \r\nNone of this would have been possible had it not been for your generosity. Because of you our students were excited, engaged, and eager to learn about science, reading, writing, math, storytelling, and patience.","fullyFundedDate":1737083331925,"projectUrl":"project/itty-bitties-hatching-chicks/9051933/","projectTitle":"Itty Bitties Hatching Chicks","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Borroel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9208973"},{"teacherId":9527163,"projectId":8744193,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations for my students!
