The Future Oil Masters project has completely transformed our art room. We had a quick start in the Sept. start to school and no excited to plan the year ahead. At introduction, my students and I began simply by mixing colors and learning how to handle oil paints for the first time. Many had never seen, smelled, or felt these materials before—their curiosity was electric. Since then, we've progressed to still lifes and are now preparing for portrait work inspired by our recent museum visit, which was directly planned around the Future Master program.\r\n\r\nOur Future Masters program now uses lunchtime to create, exchange ideas, and even suggest our next projects—many inspired by what they saw in the museum galleries. Their pride and sense of professionalism have deepened, and they are realizing how powerful art can be as a form of study, dialogue, and expression.\r\n\r\nThis program has not only enhanced their learning but also strengthened my teaching. I've been able to introduce complex artistic processes, model professional studio habits, and nurture confidence in students who never saw themselves as \"artists.\" The materials provided made this growth possible. As a student named Rosie says in our class \"This is just the beginning!\".
