My fifth graders love exploring with these vehicles by creating pathways, avoiding obstacles and making the cars do crazy twists and turns. Not only is this learning preparing them for their future, it is interactive and fun. Students are excited to get these cars out and \"play\" while they immerse themselves in coding. \r\nThis generation of learners will definitely have careers that involve technology on a daily basis. The more hands on experiences with problem solving, critical thinking and creativity we can offer, the better prepared they will be to take their place in the work force. Most factories are becoming automated and tasks are completed using artificial intelligence. Todays students will become tomorrows programmers. Instilling a passion for technology at an early age will pave the path for adults that love their career.\r\n\r\nThank you for creating a positive learning experience for our students!","fullyFundedDate":1739455222707,"projectUrl":"project/racing-into-stem/9001177/","projectTitle":"Racing Into STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8052510_orig.jpg?crop=1209,1209,x1814,y1139&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758203204998","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8052510"},{"teacherId":8052510,"projectId":8547714,"letterContent":"Your generous donation has made a huge impact on our students academic experience this year. We enjoy learning about the past and creating enrichment opportunities using our CKLA curriculum. Our history curriculum is very traditional, spewing facts, dates, events and figures. The fifth grade teacher team is always looking for ways to reinforce learning with videos, activities and games. Through your generous donation, we have created a lasting experience that has our students completely invested. Using AI, we generated worksheets that offer background information about the history, culture, demographics and climate of each country. We learn about famous people, traditions and games played by the people. Students learn how to play a game or engage in a passtime from each country. We end each lesson with snacks from that country. Our students went from complete disinterest in social studies class, to being completely invested. They look forward to Friday all week. They ask about the country we will visit, are excited to stamp their \"passports\" and enjoy hearing about how people live in other places. They are fascinated by the foods that other countries consider staples or candies. They hate missing school on Fridays now, because it is the most exciting lesson of the week. Thank you for making such a huge difference for us.","fullyFundedDate":1733162556937,"projectUrl":"project/a-worldly-experience/8547714/","projectTitle":"A Worldly Experience","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8052510_orig.jpg?crop=1209,1209,x1814,y1139&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758203204998","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8052510"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_37559","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":175,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":96,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":84.7,"schoolId":37559,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pecatonica Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Pecatonica Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/pecatonica-area-school-district/pecatonica-elementary-school/37559"}
