Being able to use the coaster set ups and change the set up so we can look at different velocities and accelerations has been amazing. My students have loved working with the different size metal and wood balls to look at different masses and how that affects motion. On top of this, it has been so cool to just watch my students get to play and discover as high school students. I think we forget about how much anyone can learn through play and discovery. The pool noodles add a fun twist on make projectile launchers and looking at all these concepts as well. This is huge for saving time in laboratory setups. On top of this, the school water is very hard and has so many minerals that this water is much better for my students to drink. The water distiller has already saved me money by just being able to distill tap water and reuse our plastic jugs. With my enrollment tripling this year from 15 last to 50 this year, we go through a lot of distilled water for labs. The ice maker has been a life saver for the whole science department working on different labs and needing ice. This equipment will help us for many years down the road. I try to get my students to do as much on their white boards as they can. This gives them a chance to be more kinesthetic even as they sit. Plus my students LOVE to work on whiteboards!\r\nIt also allows me to help them solve problems and easily make changes if there are mistakes. My Chemistry and Business Mathematics students appreciate all the extra features on the calculators, especially the logarithm and exponent keys. \r\nThe chrome book chargers are used daily as well. These are so useful because we are a 1 to 1 device school; however, several of my students forget their charger or lose charge throughout the day. By having extra chargers, my students can continue to work on their computers no matter what! \r\nIn closing, we all appreciate your donation so much! It has made my classes run so much more efficiently and the students are working so hard.
