The DNA kit paired perfectly with our classroom garden project, allowing students to grow different types of tomatoes and then compare their DNA. This tied directly into our \"What Makes You, You\" unit focused on DNA, cells, and genes. The butterfly kit connected beautifully with our geography and history lessons as we explored trade, the Columbian Exchange, and world regions. The fraction kit helped us practice daily living skills while reinforcing math concepts, and the solar system kit was a fun way to review our space unit.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were thrilled! Their faces lit up with curiosity and excitement they couldn't wait to dive in and start exploring.\r\n\r\nNext steps include continuing our DNA comparisons and creating a visual chart of the different tomato varieties. We'll also be observing butterfly life cycles and connecting them to global trade routes, while using the fraction kit for real-world math activities.
