Gathering basic supplies for classes falls more on the students, their families and teachers rather than state or governmental funding provided to us. As well, the economic status of the majority of my school's population leads to my students having fewer resources than other students at other schools. I would never want my classroom to be a \"haves vs have-nots\" situation, where only the rich students can understand science whereas my students on or around the poverty line don't. I want to ensure ALL my students can access my curriculum to the best of my ability, and through using colors in their notes, it makes their notes stand out. \r\nYour generous help in funding the purchases of new crayons, thin markers, thick markers, and colored pencils gives students the option to use any color medium they enjoy to enhance their notes and increase ability to study that content for memory. The color lined dry erase sleeves allows readings to be covered, keeping them intact for longer, along with allowing students to use dry erase markers to mark up the information and increase engagement with those readings. Without your help, my students would struggle to add colors to their notes and classwork activities, resulting in lower levels of understanding of the contents of their curriculum. \r\nAfter sharing the news about your donations and the arrival of these materials, all my classes were thrilled to finally have a full range of colors and art supplies to use in class. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I couldn't have made this purchase possible without a serious dent on my bank account.
