When my students learned that your donations would cover the cost of their participation in the Memory Project, they were over the moon! \r\n\r\nThrough the Memory Project, these students made beautiful, expressive portraits of children living in orphanages in Malawi, a small country in Africa. When they completed the portraits, the art was shipped to Malawi to become gifts of kindness for the children they drew. \r\n\r\nIt is expensive to run the Memory Project, so dues are required. Your donations meant that my students could create these tokens of good will without having to worry about how to cover the dues. Performances lacked volume, music tech projects could only be shared through small computer speakers, and students often felt their hard work went unheard.\r\n\r\nNow, with our new PA system and speakers, everything has changed. Students can confidently share their digital tracks with the whole class, collaborate in real time, and hear the full richness of their voices and compositions. In choir, every section can be amplified with clarity, ensuring their performances fill the room with sound. The difference is more than technical—it's emotional. When students hear themselves clearly, they gain confidence, pride, and motivation to keep creating.\r\n\r\nThis project has also helped with student well-being and mental health. For many of my students, music is an outlet for stress and self-expression.
