It is quite impressive and has been a large support in crafting and creating in our space.\r\n\r\nThe paper handled bags have made great canvases for our annual Desk-Or-Treat activity. And later in our year, the drawstring bags will make an excellent end of year gift that will carry their memories for many years to come. As my students used hands-on materials like these, they learnt important things about science that they wouldn't from reading a book or completing a worksheet.and given my students opportunities that they do not have outside of the classroom. The addition of these items has increased engagement as well as the students interest in learning. Having the bins labeled with the name of the toy and/or activity in the bin plus a picture of it, has made it easier for them to quickly decide what they want to play with during free choice time and Centers, while also making cleanup time be more efficient as students can quickly access the correct labeled bin for the toy or activity they need to put away. Students have loved being able to have easy access to the tub games they get to play with through out the school day during free choice time and Centers. The kitchen island has created not just another space in our classroom kitchen but allows students to get even more creative with pretend play. With the additional storage the kitchen island provides, we were able to purchase additional pretend play items to our playhouse kitchen. The kitchen island has three drawers which students have placed the various utensils like spatulas, forks, and spoons. The shelf on the bottom of the island provided space for wicker baskets to store all the dishes and pots and pans in. Prior to having the kitchen island, students did not have any counter space to use to prepare food and what not.
