We are so grateful for your kindness an thoughtfulness. The moment our chairs arrived, the excitement in the room was insane. Students couldn't wait to try them out, and they've been a huge hit ever since. \r\n\r\nMore importantly, they've had a meaningful impact on both our learning and our overall classroom experience. These chairs have helped create a more flexible and comfortable learning environment. Students are more focused and engaged, especially during reading and independent work time. The option to choose a chair that fits their learning style has made a big difference in how they participate and concentrate. It's very clear that having a choice in how they sit has helped many of them feel more at ease and motivated.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, the fun chairs have brought a sense of joy and ownership to our classroom. They've helped build a more positive and inviting atmosphere where students feel excited to come in each day. It's amazing how something as simple as a chair can bring so many smiles and really spark so much enthusiasm! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity! These books have quickly become favorites among my students. Their eyes lit up as we explored the thrilling stories of survival, courage, and resilience through the eyes of characters their age. The realistic storytelling not only drew them into key moments in history, but also sparked thoughtful discussions about real-world events and how people respond in times of crisis.\r\n\r\nMany of my students do not have access to books at home, so having these engaging, and accessible reads in our classroom library is a true gift. It's been so incredible to see unmotivated readers be so engaged in our classroom read aloud. It's been truly heartwarming to see the joy and excitement on the students faces as we read these books. \r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your kindness and commitment to education. As soon as the students entered the classroom, questions began, and curiosity led to good discussions and language opportunities. Each one immediately saw new boxes of \"things\" which initiated questions and excitement. \r\n\r\nThe students have thoroughly enjoyed the games and have been successful learning the new concepts. We have been able to target several different goals with each game, so a variety of students have benefited from the donation. Also, as soon as the students learned I had new prizes, each of them seemed a little more motivated to reach their goals to get a chance to explore the new choices. In just a short couple of weeks since receiving the new fidgets, over 10 students have earned a prize. The north entrance to the park is about 2 hours from us, yet it is amazing how many of my students have not visited it. Those who have visited, really don't know much about it besides animals and Old Faithful. By the end of that unit, they understand the history and science of the park, along with knowing what the different things to see in the park are.\r\n\r\n This year, I expanded my unit to include doing research on other national parks in the United States. The students researched a park of their choosing. They then made a brochure and a commemorative postage stamp for their park. The information was presented to the rest of class.\r\n \r\n We did run into problems finding enough information about some of the parks. This donors choose project was designed to provide information for future years of fifth graders that isn't just the parks' websites on the internet. Although we were not able to use the books for this year's project, my students still enjoyed being able to interact with the books and learn new things about their parks when we received them. \r\n \r\n It is my hope that with this project, students realize what amazing places our country has, and that visiting the parks is something that they can do in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1727377664582,"projectUrl":"project/5th-graders-present-the-wonder-and-excit/8783842/","projectTitle":"5th Graders Present the Wonder and Excitement of America!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nicholson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9750300"},{"teacherId":9778212,"projectId":8820615,"letterContent":"Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our classroom has been transformed with the addition of flexible seating options, including wobble stools and yoga ball chairs. These new resources have had an incredible impact on my students, providing them with a comfortable and engaging learning environment that supports their diverse needs. From the moment the seating arrived, excitement filled the room. Students were eager to try out the wobble stools, spinning and gently rocking as they worked on their assignments, while others enjoyed the subtle movement provided by the yoga ball chairs. It was heartwarming to witness their immediate enthusiasm and how quickly they embraced the new seating options as part of their daily routine.\r\nOne of the most memorable moments in our classroom since introducing flexible seating occurred during a group reading activity. Students were able to choose their preferred seating, and it was amazing to see how the movement of the wobble stools helped those who typically struggle with focus stay engaged for longer periods. One student, who often found it difficult to sit still, shared that the yoga ball chair made reading \"so much easier\" because he could gently bounce while concentrating on the text. The seating has also encouraged collaboration, as students feel more relaxed and eager to participate in group discussions and activities. Whether working independently or in small groups, these new seating options have fostered a sense of ownership and excitement about learning.\r\nLooking ahead, our students are currently working on a research project where they explore different animal life cycles and present their findings to the class. The flexible seating has already played a significant role in supporting their work, allowing them to stay focused during research sessions and engage more comfortably in presentations. As they continue to explore new concepts and skills, I know these seating options will remain an invaluable tool in our classroom. Thank you for your generosity and support—your contributions have made a lasting difference in our students' learning experience, and we are excited to see the continued impact in the months to come.","fullyFundedDate":1733345892382,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-seating-for-success/8820615/","projectTitle":"Classroom Seating for Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mosby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9778212"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78731","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":314,"numTeachers":8,"percentFrplEligible":24,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":90,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"39.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":72.2,"schoolId":78731,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Park City School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Park City School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/park-city-school-district-5/park-city-school/78731"}
