I can not begin to share the excitement my students have when I tell them we are going to play \"Cookie Game\" better known as I Ready. When I say I need my Computer Guides (the students whose job is to pass out laptops) the class erupts is joyous excitement. If I tell them that we will not be going on \"cookie game\" today their excitement is a bit mellowed. They are still excited to be be going on their laptops, although not as excited as when they get to go on \"cookie game\". Our district would like the students to have an around thirty to forty-five minutes per week on I Ready. My students could double or triple this time because they love \"cookie game\". They would prefer to do I Ready \"cookie game\" over any other learning program. When a student passes a lesson, they are so excited, they tell all their classmates. Some will even turn their computers around and show everyone their passing score. My students have taken pride in their I Ready scores. One thing I have noticed is when they do not pass a lesson they do not get upset. Yes, they are unhappy about not passing and getting a cookie, but they are so focused on passing they keep trying until they do pass. Using the cookie reward has shown my students that if they persevere and not give up, they will succeed and receive their reward. Since September my students have passed over 500 I Ready lessons. Our class passing rate is improving week after week. I am so thankful for the donation. I do not need to worry about running out the store for more cookies all the time and my kiddos get to enjoy a \"bonus cookie\" day every once in a while. The addition of new fiction, nonfiction, chapter books, lower-level texts, and Spanish books has opened the door for my students to explore stories that reflect their identities, cultures, interests, and reading needs. These books have helped us strengthen key reading skills such as vocabulary development, comprehension, fluency, and the ability to make deeper text-to-self and text-to-world connections.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading time is now one of the most joyful and focused parts of our day. Students curl up in our reading corner, browse the new shelves, and eagerly share book recommendations with one another. I have watched reluctant readers become more confident because they now have access to texts that match their readability level and interests. For my bilingual and Spanish-speaking students, having books in their home language has been especially meaningful—they engage more, take risks in discussions, and feel represented in our growing library.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have already fallen in love with specific books. Some of my emerging readers gravitate toward lower-level texts that help them practice fluency without feeling overwhelmed. Others have discovered new chapter book series that they excitedly check out each morning. My Spanish-speaking students beam when they find a book they can read independently in Spanish, and many of them are now helping classmates learn new words from their culture. These moments have truly transformed our reading community.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided books—it has created confidence, belonging, and a love for reading in every corner of our classroom. Your kindness has brought so much joy, inspiration, and comfort to my students, and I want to share with you just how meaningful your support has been. Each item you helped us obtain has made a powerful impact on our daily learning environment, and my students continue to benefit from your generosity in ways both big and small.\r\n\r\nOne of the most transformative additions to our classroom has been the set of Flex-Space floor seats. These comfortable, flexible seating options have created a fresh atmosphere that empowers students to make choices about how and where they learn best. Many students who were once hesitant to read for extended periods are now eager to curl up in a cozy seat and immerse themselves in a book. The floor seats have become an essential part of our routine, especially during independent reading time. Students settle into their favorite seat with a sense of ownership and calm, often describing the space as peaceful and perfect for getting lost in a story. Their increased focus and enthusiasm are noticeable every single day.\r\n\r\nYour donation of the Goosebumps series and The Baby-Sitters Club books has also sparked an incredible wave of excitement around reading. I have watched students who previously struggled to find books that truly captured their attention eagerly swap titles with classmates, debate plot twists, and ask for more time to read. The Goosebumps series has especially appealed to those who enjoy suspense and mystery. It has been heartwarming to see even my reluctant readers ask if they can take \"just one more chapter\" home to finish. Meanwhile, The Baby-Sitters Club set has created a buzz among students who love stories about friendship, responsibility, and growing up. These books have opened doors to conversations, connections, and thoughtful reflections about the characters' experiences.\r\n\r\nAll of these wonderful materials have helped build what my students now proudly call \"Kyrouac's Cozy Corner.\" This reading nook has quickly become the heart of our classroom—a place where students can relax, read, imagine, and create their own world of calmness. The combination of flexible seating and engaging book choices has made the space inviting and comforting, giving students a safe haven where their love of reading can flourish. Some students choose this space to regulate their emotions, others use it to dive into a captivating book, and all of them treat it as a special part of our shared learning community.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the seating and books, the paint sticks you provided have sparked a wave of creativity that has brightened not just our classroom walls, but also the confidence of my students. With these mess-free, vibrant paint sticks, students have created colorful posters for book projects, vocabulary displays, and personal writing pieces. These posters showcase their personalities, their understanding of our lessons, and their growing pride in their work. The joy they express when proudly hanging their finished creations on the wall is priceless.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done more than provide materials—it has strengthened our classroom community. You have helped create an environment where students feel supported, excited to learn, and inspired to grow. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for believing in our classroom, in public education, and in the tremendous potential of our young learners. For example, the new chart paper and EXPO markers have become the cornerstone of our module conversation starters. Just this week, we used them for mind mapping what Module 4 will be about based on 6 photos displayed. They recorded their thinking clearly with the color pencils and marker, which we then displayed on the wall! The cleaning products have also been a huge help in instilling responsibility. My students are now proactive in wiping down their tables, understanding that a clean workspace is crucial for focused learning. \r\n\r\nThe moment the materials arrived the students' were excited! Students have had the opportunity to sit more freely around the classroom and in a more comfortable setting. This has thoroughly helped increase student engagement since there are more opportunities for students to work around the classroom, versus just at their table groups.\r\n The organization cart and pencil holders were put to use immediately. The cart has helped students organize their math manipulatives and student work. Not to mention the fact that we have lost way less pencils than before we had the pencil holders. Some made silly faces, others serious or joyful ones but all of them took great pride in seeing their artwork come to life. Once the plaster dried, they painted their sculptures in bright, unique colors. The classroom was full of laughter, creativity, and \"wow\" moments as they discovered how fun it can be to turn an idea into a 3D piece of art.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students gained a new level of confidence and curiosity in their artmaking.
