The flexible seating options that I have been able to provide to my students had made a positive impact on their learning. Although to some, it may just look like different types of seating, but to my students it is the difference from being able to focus and attend to a lesson or being distracted and unable to focus. \r\n\r\nI have one student in particular, who used the various flexible seating choices all year long. And although he made leaps and bounds in his academic and behavioral growth due to things like high quality instruction and interventions, I know that in part the ability to have choices in his seating made a great impact as well. Every single day, he chose a wobble chair, bubble seat or a chair with a wobble band on it. Those choices made it so that he was able to fidget without distracting himself or his classmates, and in turn be successful in his learning. \r\n\r\nThe laminating sheets and machine made it so that I could laminate pertinent learning materials such as interactive game boards to learn CVC words and handwriting pages so students could practice their conventions and grammar. I am so grateful that you chose to support the students in my classroom and I know that they feel the same way. \r\n\r\nI apologize for not getting this message to you sooner, but I had some traumatic personal things happen in the second half of the year and I wasn't able to get back to you with the intention and thought that I wanted to. I hope that you all know how much of an impact you had on both myself and my students. \r\n\r\nThe support from you is not taken for granted, as I know that you chose to spend funding and take a chance on both me and my classroom, when you could have chosen anybody. Without people like you, our classrooms wouldn't be as engaging, interactive and accessible for students.
