The new fidgets, textured objects, wobble seats, and calming visuals are already helping students regulate their bodies and focus on speech and language activities.\r\n\r\nOne student who usually struggles to stay seated completed an entire turn-taking game while squeezing a textured ball. Another used a wobble cushion during a listening activity and, for the first time, answered every question without needing a break. When the materials arrived, our students' faces lit up and they immediately began exploring, describing, and even initiating conversations about their favorites, providing natural opportunities for practicing language and self-advocacy.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be building more structured lessons with these supports, using fidgets during partner interviews, or calming visuals during story retells, to push communication goals even further.
