My students were thrilled to see some of the titles they had requested, and they eagerly began reading and sharing them right away.\r\n\r\nThe best part has been watching how excited they are to read now. Because they finally have books that interest them, they are more motivated to pick up a text. Even better, they are willing to try new genres because their classmates are recommending them. Your generosity has created a real buzz for reading in our room, and it's making a lasting impact on their love of learning. One of my quieter students, who often struggles to participate in discussions, came to me with a brand-new book and said, \"This one feels like it was written for me.\" That kind of connection is powerful, and it's the reason I'm so grateful for your support. You've given my students the tools to strengthen their reading skills as well as the opportunity to see themselves as readers who belong in a community of learners.","fullyFundedDate":1744290672750,"projectUrl":"project/high-interest-reads-for-high-potential-k/9244193/","projectTitle":"High-Interest Reads for High-Potential Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Haynes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9800035_orig.png?crop=92,92,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728516857054","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9800035"},{"teacherId":9079867,"projectId":8783905,"letterContent":"The supplies that were sent to my classroom has impacted our classroom tremendously. We are conducting an ELO program in the afternoons which allow us to give the books to the student for further reading opportunities. Our magnetic sentences strips allow us to give the students the opportunity to practice writing on them and erasing them when they need to make corrections.\r\nOne project that we have used these supplies was when the students needed to make sentences for their vocabulary words. My students were able to practice writing skills as a game in the ELO programs. We worked with them and the students were able to do collaborative grouping when making new words.\r\nThe rise of Covid/Flu symptoms in our classroom we now have the wipes to clean our classroom to keep our students healthy.
