Students look forward to the freedom and expression they are able to experience in the Art classroom. They often have a hard time thinking of their next project - these books give them plenty of eye candy. They may not know about artists that are currently creating artwork. They may never have seen contemporary art pieces, or artists that are not white males. These books make a difference, and let students relate to the books, their content, and their classmates in a concrete manner.
