Your donation has made a meaningful impact on both the learning and the joy in our room this year. The culturally diverse picture books and the board games you provided have become essential tools in building students' language, engagement, and connection.\r\n\r\nThe books have been especially powerful. Because they represent a wide range of cultures and experiences, my students see mirrors of themselves as well as windows into the lives of others. These stories spark thoughtful conversations, build empathy, and help students develop language in meaningful ways. For example, when we read Fry Bread, we explored family traditions and students shared or wrote about traditions of their own—something that built both language skills and a strong sense of belonging. Other books have encouraged students to ask questions, compare experiences, and discuss themes in ways that naturally develop their speaking and listening skills.\r\n\r\nThe board games have been just as impactful. They've allowed me to support vocabulary development and oral language in fun, creative ways. Students often forget they're practicing language because they're so engaged. One of their favorites has been using \"Heads Up\" to practice describing animals, which encourages them to use academic vocabulary, think flexibly, and communicate clearly with their peers. These playful activities have become a highlight of our week and have noticeably increased student confidence and participation.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has helped create a joyful, inclusive classroom where students feel valued, curious, and excited to learn. Thank you for investing in them. Your generosity is felt every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1755706740382,"projectUrl":"project/multilingualism-is-a-superpower/9588843/","projectTitle":"Multilingualism is a Superpower.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Curtis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2372049_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1457626486867","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wcurtis"},{"teacherId":10054459,"projectId":9408870,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! Because of your kindness, my students now have new headphones and whiteboards that are already making a huge difference in their learning.\r\n\r\nThe headphones help students stay focused and confident during independent work and online lessons, allowing them to hear directions clearly and learn at their own pace. The whiteboards have become one of our favorite tools — students use them to practice math, spelling, and to show their thinking during lessons. They love being able to share ideas quickly and get immediate feedback, which has boosted both participation and excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nYour donation has had a huge impact on our classroom.
