It's difficult because the words can't show the emotions that we feel as a result of the projects. The groups were intentionally developed with diversity in mind because we wanted them to use their cultural background, experiences, and differences, along with the text to develop projects that would truly promote acceptance, understanding, tolerance, kindness, mental health, along with Social and Emotional Learning. The students completed the projects successfully and are able to verbalize what they learned from their experience of working outside if their regular friend groups. Listening to their presentations had me in tears and reminded me that it costs nothing to stop, listen, and be kind. Again, thank you for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1741100803770,"projectUrl":"project/captivating-young-minds-catapulting-acc/9098705/","projectTitle":"Captivating Young Minds; Catapulting Acceptance","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jaynes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1046844_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1474420788751","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/charlotte-jaynes"},{"teacherId":1046844,"projectId":8704185,"letterContent":"We are so fortunate to have supporters like you, Nathan David D'Angelo from Mississippi, the Schrader Family from Brier, WA, who donated to our project and helped us acquire the full funding to get robotics materials for the students at Orange Grove Elementary School. \r\nIt is this type of assistance that we get from you, our supporters, that helps us continue to improve student performance and outcomes as we work diligently to ensure that our students have materials to enhance their educational experiences. Thank you just does not seem sufficient for what you all have done for us as a school community this year.\r\nThe students and staff at Orange Grove Elementary are truly excited about the possibilities of the experiences that the robotics materials will afford them this school year and into the future. The sponsor, who volunteers her time to work with our students, understands the importance of offering various STEM programs and opportunities in order to put our students on better academic paths towards their future endeavors as they strive to become college and/or career ready.\r\nThe materials from this project has also impacted more students than we were able to service in the previous year. Thanks to your support more students from each grade level can now participate in our Robotics Club at Orange Grove Elementary School, and it is always great to be able to involve more students and provide them opportunities to learn, participate, and grow in all areas, but especially in technology.\r\n\r\nAgain, we want to say thank you for all of your continued support of the students and staff at our school.","fullyFundedDate":1726662571916,"projectUrl":"project/give-steam-to-a-steam-project/8704185/","projectTitle":"Give Steam to a STEAM Project!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jaynes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1046844_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1474420788751","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/charlotte-jaynes"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_14247","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":329,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":43,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"4 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":30.4,"schoolId":14247,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Orange Grove Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Orange Grove Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/harrison-county-school-district/orange-grove-elementary-school/14247"}
