Mostly the t-shirts and bags, but I did attempt to fix a student's glasses the other week.\r\n\r\nThere are many days when students come in to school out of dress code. Mainly, they don't have their shirts tucked in and that is where the black tees come into play. Some have on something they slept in because they ran out of the door the catch the bus before 6, or they grabbed their siblings shirt while getting dressed and didn't have time to get something else, or for a lot of them, it was the only clean one that morning. Black goes with everything and a plain tee doesn't stand out. Instead of going to ISS and missing class, put kids have been grabbing up the plain black tee to quickly get into to dress code. No real argument because they couldn't find anything and less space for frustration that leads into a whole ordeal. \r\n\r\nThe bags are amazing. At least once a day either me or my social worker is carrying a bag full of dirty clothes or new clothes to the bus for a kid. It isn't see through like a trash bag and is relatively inconspicuous. Last week I had a teen bleed through her pants and instead of carrying those through the hall I was able to pack it up and stick it on her bus so no one is the wiser. \r\n\r\nThose things might seem simple but they are a big help to us day in and out when we are helping kids. Most of my students have been through more at 12 then I have in my whole life, and they aren't really good at self regulating their emotions. So when they have the wrong shirt on and then they get mud all over their pants or they realize they forgot deodorant, having supplies readily available that are suitable for most people, really stuns the frustrated responses that can often lead to a blow out which leads to discipline and then missing out on instruction. Thank you for making it easier for us to make it easier for them in the little moments.","fullyFundedDate":1760840485101,"projectUrl":"project/counseling-office-needs/9710949/","projectTitle":"Counseling Office Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10258294_orig.jpg?crop=914,914,x0,y54&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757703745489","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10258294"},{"teacherId":10044363,"projectId":9380911,"letterContent":"I want to express my deepest gratitude for taking the time to assist my class.
