Your contribution has allowed us to create and distribute grief bags to counselors at all five middle schools in Broken Arrow—an initiative that is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.\r\n\r\nThe items provided through this grant—such as fidgets, sensory tools, calming aids, and age-appropriate educational materials—offer tangible comfort and coping mechanisms to students who are experiencing grief. By utilizing these supplies, we have allowed students to process their feelings in a healthy and constructive way. These tools are ready to be used at a moment's notice, ensuring that when a crisis arises, a compassionate and supportive response is in place to help students navigate their emotions and begin the healing process.\r\n\r\nSo far, we have used these grief bags on an individual basis, but hope to expand to use these in groups and in response to a crisis, should we be called to, across the district. \r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we are now better equipped to respond with care and intention when our students need it most. These grief bags not only provide a sense of safety and control during times of distress, but they also help foster a deeper sense of community and belonging within our schools.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for believing in the importance of this work and for helping us ensure that no student has to face their grief alone.","fullyFundedDate":1740785744551,"projectUrl":"project/grief-relief-kits-comfort-in-a-bag/8982184/","projectTitle":"Grief Relief Kits: Comfort in a Bag","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2322416_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666839087555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kalynmiller"},{"teacherId":2322416,"projectId":9353072,"letterContent":"On behalf of our school community, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for your generous support of our recent project to install resource racks throughout our campus. Your contribution has made a lasting impact on our students' lives—academically, socially, and emotionally.\r\n\r\nThanks to the resources received, we were able to place organized, easily accessible racks in key locations around the school. These racks are now stocked with information and materials related to academic tutoring, mental health support, college and career readiness, extracurricular opportunities, and more. This simple yet powerful change has transformed how students access the tools they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nThe impact was immediate. Students now frequently stop by the racks between classes or during free periods, taking materials that support their individual needs and goals. Whether it's a flyer about free tutoring, a brochure on managing stress, or details about upcoming college prep events, students are empowered to take charge of their own success. Because the information is presented in an approachable, low-stakes format, it removes the intimidation or stigma that sometimes prevents students from asking for help.\r\n\r\nOur student body is incredibly diverse, with each student bringing their own story, challenges, and ambitions. Many face significant obstacles—but they also demonstrate remarkable resilience and determination. Your support helped us bridge the gap between their potential and the resources they need to thrive. By eliminating barriers to information, we've created a more inclusive and supportive school culture—one where students know that help is always within reach.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for investing in a project that truly puts their needs first. The resource racks are more than just fixtures in our hallways—they're a symbol of opportunity, support, and community. Because of you, our students are better equipped to pursue their goals, face challenges with confidence, and feel a stronger sense of belonging at school.","fullyFundedDate":1747362400214,"projectUrl":"project/resources-needed/9353072/","projectTitle":"Resources Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2322416_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666839087555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kalynmiller"},{"teacherId":9847125,"projectId":8965554,"letterContent":"I hope this message finds you well. Your platform has played an invaluable role in helping us bring much-needed resources into our classrooms, creating an environment where students can thrive and educators can deliver more engaging, effective lessons.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous donations, we have been able to provide art supplies, STEM projects, and everyday classroom necessities like pencils, pens, dry erase markers and erasers that directly impact our students' learning experiences. Also, thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide each student in my class with amazing Christmas gifts, tailored to each student; that they may otherwise have not been able to receive. The support we received has not only enhanced our curriculum but has also uplifted our students' spirits, showing them that there are people who believe in their potential and in the power of education and a loving local community.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a caring community of donors through DonorsChoose.
