When our students first saw the new baby dolls and accessories, their faces lit up with excitement. There were gasps, squeals, and lots of \"Can I hold one?\" as they eagerly reached for the babies. The diverse dolls and realistic items like bottles and blankets instantly became treasured additions to our classroom.\r\n\r\nWe've been using these materials in multiple ways. During Baby Doll Circle Time, each child now has their very own baby to love, care for, and build connection with. This special time helps strengthen their sense of attachment, develop empathy, and promote social-emotional growth. We've already seen quieter students open up and become more expressive and nurturing through this daily routine.\r\n\r\nIn our pretend play center, the babies have taken on a life of their own! Students lovingly feed, rock, and bathe them, often reenacting real-life caregiving scenes they've seen at home. One especially heartwarming moment came when a student gently wrapped her baby in a blanket and said, \"I'm singing to her like my mom sings to me.\" These experiences are laying the groundwork for language development, self-regulation, and perspective-taking, all through the power of play!\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for bringing these experiences to life for our students. These folders will serve as a bridge between home and school, allowing parents to see their child's work, send and receive important notes, and stay informed with monthly calendars and newsletters from our classroom, paraprofessionals, and principal.\r\n\r\nThe durable plastic folders and clear sheet protectors will ensure that these materials remain organized and accessible throughout the year.
