When the materials arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students could not wait to dive into the graphic novels. Many of them gathered around, flipping through the pages, pointing out characters, and eagerly asking if they could start reading right away. The dry erase magnetic sheet has also become a daily tool; we use it to model writing, organize story ideas, and translate key vocabulary together. The Spanish-English question chart now hangs proudly in our classroom, making it easy for students to access translation support during lessons without losing focus.\r\n\r\nThe blank books have sparked the most curiosity. At first, students weren't sure what to expect, but when I explained that they would be creating their own graphic novels, with themselves as the hero, they lit up with ideas. Some students are even planning manga-style stories, blending their creativity with what they see in their favorite books. A memorable moment was when one student, who is usually quiet, raised his hand to share his superhero concept with the class. His peers supported his ideas and wanted to help him bring his character to life, and his confidence soared.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to guide students through the process of developing their own storylines, planning plot diagrams, and drafting illustrations. These new materials give my students the tools to read, write, and think in new ways, while also allowing them to see themselves as creators, not just learners. Your donation has brought joy, creativity, and a deeper sense of ownership to their learning, and we cannot thank you enough.","fullyFundedDate":1753972766894,"projectUrl":"project/love-to-read/9462900/","projectTitle":"Love to Read","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sonne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8618559"},{"teacherId":4082484,"projectId":8661501,"letterContent":"Since the arrival of the laptop, my classroom has lit up like a bright star in the night sky.
