Your generous donation has supported 10 students in the CA Forestry Challenge. We were able to practice with the compasses, densitometer, logging tape, and clinometer before the challenge. This helped to make our team more competitive against other CA schools that are located in high socioeconomic areas, such as Palisades High. They were so excited to see the supplies because a few of the returning students were then able to teach the new students how to use them. What was great was how the students practiced collecting data from our campus trees. \r\n\r\nI would have to say the biggest impact was how it enabled our school team to earn a spot in the top 11 teams, out of 32, this year. We also won the pacing contest! One of the students, Miguel, practiced and was able to allow us to bring the trophy home! They were more than excited.
