My middle school students are learning life skills, things like sewing a button and how to budget. I need supplies to teach them these skills, like sewing kits, budgeting tools, and other supplies that can assist in the concepts I am teaching. Our students use Chromebooks for their classwork and homework, and other are many times when they need headphones. Having a set of headphones for my classroom is so important and absolutely necessary for the student's independent work. Another time when my students use headphones is when they need to focus independently. Since this is a government class, that meant designing their own political campaign based on their chosen element of the human condition. Each student developed and ran a campaign on an issue that was important to them. When I brought out the donated supplies for their project, the student's excitement grew tenfold! \r\n\r\nTo be able to supply them the foam boards and all other supplies necessary to create political yard signs, meant the students could truly bring their campaigns to life. They approached their work carefully and each showed a high level of craftsmanship in their projects. \r\n\r\nThis project brought out the best in each student. They were glowing as they advocated on behalf of their campaigns, collecting votes from the community in our mock election. Your donations made this project possible.
