I did receive the materials before my students came to school. I was able to get it all set up for the first day of school. The students are using the corner in multiple ways right now! It is an area that they may go to when they are upset and need a moment to calm down and get themselves together. I also have allowed them to use the area when they are needing a quiet place to work that is out of the way of others. \r\nWhen the students came in and saw the room for the first time they were immediately drawn to that area and couldn't wait to find out when they could use it and how they were to use it. They love the calming corner breathing techniques that are having and we are learning how to do.","fullyFundedDate":1750774767446,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-corner/9405723/","projectTitle":"Comfort Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Atwood","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10053305"},{"teacherId":9729424,"projectId":8738454,"letterContent":"Thank you does not feel sufficient enough for how grateful I am for you gift of my classroom supplies. My two new rugs and set of stools have brought me and my students so much joy already as we have used them upon receiving them two months ago. The experience of our new items being delivered to us and unboxed together as a class is one I think both my students and I will never forget!\r\n My rugs and stools have created asthetically pleasing areas as well as better functionality of certain areas in my room that has inspired more creativity and involvement in learning and working with each other. Two areas in particular that I have seen a big impact on are my writing/creativity table and my large meeting area. My students love my writing station, both for learning and for play. The stools I used to have took up a lot of space and left little room for additional students to pull up chairs so they could participate as well. That space has now been doubled with my new stools and has created more room for more students to write together and create together. I have had students create books together, make masks for our dramatic play area, one boy even made a full set of armor! Their creativity and willingness to try out new ideas and skills has grown so much because my new stools have allowed this area to be more accessible! The other area, my large meeting area, now has a rug that better accommodates students sitting comfortably for what can be long lessons. My old rug had small sit spots that made students feel like their space was tight and sitting still impossible. My new rug has a large square pattern that gives students much more space to sit and move comfortably and has made focussing and engaging in our lessons more comfortable and enjoyable! \r\n Due to your generosity, you have helped this teacher make her classroom an even more beautiful and functional space. Loving my classsroom and liking my space brings me so much joy and I firmly believe that a happy, joy-filled teacher is an effective teacher. So once more, with everything in me, THANK YOU!","fullyFundedDate":1731509688057,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-refresh/8738454/","projectTitle":"Classroom Refresh!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Buttermore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9729424"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_19785","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":430,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.6,"schoolId":19785,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Webster Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Webster Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/wawasee-community-school-district/north-webster-elementary-school/19785"}
