We've been using the new markers, crayons, and organized storage during writing and math centers, and the change has been immediate. Students can finally access materials quickly, keep their work neat, and focus on the actual task instead of hunting for supplies.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked in and saw the calming strips, chair fidgets, and Play-Doh choices for brain breaks, their faces said everything. Many of them come from environments where these kinds of supports simply don't exist. They were excited—some shocked—that these items were theirs to use every day. For several of my students who struggle with attention and regulation, the fidgets and calming tools have become game-changers. They're able to stay engaged longer and participate with more confidence.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on strengthening writing stamina and independence. These materials let students take ownership of their learning space and build habits that will carry them through the year. The Play-Doh has turned into a powerful motivator—one of our chosen prizes for persistence, kindness, and quality work—and the calm-down tools help students reset so they can rejoin learning without feeling defeated.\r\n\r\nYour support didn't just supply materials. It changed routines, boosted confidence, and created a more inclusive classroom where every student has what they need to be successful. Thank you for investing in my students and giving them the tools to thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757529514242,"projectUrl":"project/colorful-creations/9494822/","projectTitle":"Colorful Creations","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lyndaker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10090928_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753408384018","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10090928"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13912","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":537,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":36,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":40.0,"schoolId":13912,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about North Euless Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"North Euless Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/hurst-euless-bedford-independent-school-district/north-euless-elementary-school/13912"}
