Each morning, students are greeted with a colorful, inviting array of nutritious snacks. One special moment came during our \"Create Your Own Healthy Snack\" project, where students brainstormed and designed their own snack ideas using provided ingredients—showcasing both creativity and new knowledge about balanced eating. These activities have brought a sense of excitement and ownership to making healthy choices. Students' reactions were joyful and genuine when they first saw the snacks. For many, this was their first regular access to healthy, appealing options in the classroom, and their faces truly lit up. Some even asked if they could take extras home to their little siblings. Having these snacks on hand not only satisfied hunger, but also built a stronger sense of community and support during our busiest learning times.\r\nThe journey doesn't stop here. As we move forward, students will continue exploring lessons about nutrition, wellness, and cultural food traditions that matter deeply to our community. Sharing ideas about healthy eating and putting nutrition into practice these past weeks has fostered healthier habits and inspired new classroom projects focused on well-being. Thank you for making this daily boost of nourishment and discovery possible for our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746785344009,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds-providing-healthy-snacks/9200734/","projectTitle":"Fueling Minds: Providing Healthy Snacks to Empower Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. IRVIN","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9646903_orig.jpg?crop=1043,1043,x0,y271&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723363223663","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9646903"},{"teacherId":9646945,"projectId":9200956,"letterContent":"Providing healthy snacks for my students has made a meaningful difference in both their energy and focus throughout the school day. From the moment the snacks arrived, the students' excitement was clear—many expressed joy at having tasty, nourishing options available to keep them going during lessons. We now use the snacks as a way to fuel our brains during reading groups, math centers, and project-based learning activities. One memorable moment came when a student who often struggled to stay engaged in the afternoon told me, \"I can think better now!\" The healthy options have helped reduce distractions caused by hunger, allowing students to participate more actively and collaborate more effectively. Currently, we are working on a science project where students research healthy eating habits, and the snacks have provided a real-life example of making nutritious choices. Our next step is to incorporate what we've learned into creating a \"Healthy Habits\" poster campaign for the school, using the energy and focus these snacks help provide to make the project a success.","fullyFundedDate":1742935264262,"projectUrl":"project/providing-healthy-snacks-empower-kids-f/9200956/","projectTitle":"Providing Healthy Snacks: Empower Kids for Active and Engaged Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Uzziel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9646945_orig.jpg?crop=600,600,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723407029507","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9646945"},{"teacherId":9646903,"projectId":8624134,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing our classroom with essential supplies like colored markers, pencils, snacks, an electric sharpener, colored paper, pencils and erasers.
