Stating how they feel each morning has become a great way for our staff to get a quick read on how everyone is and what their needs are. The kids love to place their little character in the appropriate emotion and make a graph with the results. They refer back to it all day long and often come back and change their emotion if they start out in a negative spot and now feel better.\r\n\r\nThis predictable part of our day, using our calendar materials, really helps my students feel safe and secure as they know what we are doing each morning and look forward to it!
