Some of my students do not have access to an iPad in their home, therefore having the opportunity to interact with technology through the iPad in school is very exciting to my students. The iPad has truly allowed my students to become more familiar with age appropriate technology platforms such as Boom Cards and ABC Mouse. \r\n\r\nI wanted to share with you a few ways I have already been able to implement the use of the iPad in the classroom thus far. I have a student who uses the iPad to participate during Circle Time through the use of Boom Cards. During Circle Time, while a peer is being the 'Teacher Assistant,' completing their job of the day of the week, month, etc., the student is able to follow along using a calendar on the iPad. I also have been able to use the iPad with the whole class during transitions in order to practice skills such as rhyming through interactive games. Students also have been able to access the iPad during Center Time in the Computer Center to play educational games through the use of ABC Mouse or listening to stories read aloud. \r\n\r\nAgain, I would like to sincerely tell you have much I appreciate your donations to my project.
