If students win the city Fair, they will go on to the State Fair and then the International Fair. Students are excited because they can win scholarships for college in the Greater New Orleans Science and Engineering Fair.\r\n\r\nI saw students record data better than ever before, measuring different ratios of chemicals for elephant toothpaste over 30 times. The student measured the volume of bubbles created, and the temperature at the center of the elephant toothpaste. She determined that the higher the temperature, the more intense the reaction was. \r\n\r\nAnother student built a wind generator. Others made and served different kinds of butter at the Science Fair, with a slideshow about the chemistry of butter and their methods. A student group used hula hoops to make a station where kids could have a soap bubble made around their bodies. There was a great diversity of projects, including an analysis of how water acidity in different areas of New Orleans affects snails. \r\n\r\nIt was a great Science Fair, with balloon rockets, drone demonstrations, and of course, the class bearded dragon was a guest judge.","fullyFundedDate":1742927954097,"projectUrl":"project/explosive-rocket-science-for-the-atomic/9099914/","projectTitle":"Explosive Rocket Science for the Atomic Age Science Fair","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stephanie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9916872_orig.png?crop=542,542,x0,y90&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739214818094","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9916872"},{"teacherId":1026281,"projectId":9046470,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my students.
