The basic supplies that have been provided such as paper towels and kleenex have kept my classroom stocked as we enter flu season. Additionally, I will not have to purchase any of those items out of my own money thanks to your generosity. The air purifier is also helping to keep our classroom smelling fresh each day. \r\nMy students have enjoyed getting to use the white boards in class. They love to work out math problems and hold the board up proudly displaying their answers. This also allows me to quickly assess the entire classroom. My students also love the tetris tower game, pentominos puzzle, and the potato heads that were provided. The potato heads are used as part of a relay game where student groups earn potato parts when they answer questions correctly. The other games help build critical thinking skills. My students also love getting suckers as prizes. \r\nI also appreciate all the office supplies including the pens, white out tape, the stapler, and pencil sharpener. Having extra supplies means I do not have to worry about running out or having to purchase those with my personal money. That alleviates so much worry off of a teachers plate. Again, I am so thankful for people like you who chose to support classrooms like mine.","fullyFundedDate":1755868009994,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-are-not-that-basic/9275189/","projectTitle":"Supplies Are Not That Basic!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Murphy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8354842_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y204&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651606293262","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8354842"},{"teacherId":8354842,"projectId":6632158,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing the social emotional learning resources from this grant. We have been able to have mini character lessons through the year. These resources have really helped me learn more about character traits, behaviors, and how to better manage my classroom. Students have also loved the coloring books and colored pencils. These are great stress relievers and provide a calm way for many kids to decompress. Additionally, the conversation cubes have been a huge success. These are great for brain breaks, getting small groups more familiar with each other, and for breaking the ice when everyone is being a bit shy. Lastly, the minute of fun and super skills games have been incredible. My students love to play these when we have extra time or when we just need a quick break. Again, I appreciate all the support my classroom has been shown.","fullyFundedDate":1664470486465,"projectUrl":"project/learning-to-cooperate-through-play/6632158/","projectTitle":"Learning to Cooperate Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Murphy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8354842_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y204&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651606293262","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8354842"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59985","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":491,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":47,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"3 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":38.6,"schoolId":59985,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about University Heights School - Medical Arts on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"University Heights School - Medical Arts","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/nettleton-public-schools/nettleton-interm-center/59985"}
