Using the rocks you provided, students painted positive messages, encouraging words, and colorful designs with the goal of spreading kindness throughout our school and community. This project allowed students to express themselves while also learning how small actions can have a meaningful impact on others.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. They were thrilled to work on a project that was not only fun but also focused on making someone else's day better. Many students carefully chose words they hoped would encourage a stranger, a friend, or even a teacher who might find one of their rocks. It was incredibly rewarding to watch students take ownership of a project that went beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nThe next step for my students is to place their kindness rocks around campus and in our community and then reflect on how acts of kindness can create positive change. We are connecting this project to ongoing lessons about empathy, community responsibility, and the power of positive communication. Because of you, my students experienced firsthand how creativity and kindness can work together to make a difference. Thank you for giving them this opportunity to spread joy in such a memorable way.","fullyFundedDate":1757948157934,"projectUrl":"project/stocked-for-success-essentials-to-learn/9467463/","projectTitle":"Stocked for Success: Essentials to Learn and Spread Kindness","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9107973_orig.jpg?crop=956,956,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757954632959","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrshernandez-munday"},{"teacherId":9107973,"projectId":9269019,"letterContent":"When my students walked in and saw the new tables and chairs, they couldn't stop talking about them. A few of them said it felt like a \"college classroom\" and were excited to finally have sturdy, matching furniture. Right away, they moved their chairs around, got comfortable, and jumped into group work with so much more ease than before.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've used the new setup for labs and teamwork activities, and it has completely changed the energy in the room. Students can spread out, focus, and really enjoy working together without the distractions of wobbly tables and broken chairs. The classroom feels more welcoming and professional, and I can tell my students feel proud of their space.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us create a learning environment where my students feel valued and ready to take on the real-world skills we practice every day.","fullyFundedDate":1746786507297,"projectUrl":"project/gather-round-creating-a-space-for-real/9269019/","projectTitle":"Gather 'Round: Creating a Space for Real-Life Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9107973_orig.jpg?crop=956,956,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757954632959","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrshernandez-munday"},{"teacherId":9107973,"projectId":8819088,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support in funding period products for my students. Because of your generosity, we were able to stock our hygiene drawer with essential items like pads, tampons, and wipes—ensuring that any student who needs them has easy, discreet access without the stress or embarrassment of asking.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the fully stocked hygiene drawer, their reactions were a mix of relief and gratitude. Some quietly nodded in appreciation, while others expressed how much it meant to have these resources available at school. One student even shared that she had been in a situation before where she didn't have what she needed and had to go without—something no student should have to experience.\r\n\r\nThis project has had an immediate and meaningful impact. Students now know that they have a safe and supportive space where their basic needs are met, allowing them to focus on learning without unnecessary worry. Moving forward, I will continue to maintain and restock the hygiene drawer, ensuring that all students—regardless of circumstance—always have access to these essential products.\r\n\r\nThank you for being a part of this positive change.
