The children have enjoyed using the table to act out \"The Itsy Bitsy Spider,\" figuring out how to pump water into and out of the water pumps and exploring with the water tower by working together to figure out how to make the tower wheels turn and make the water flow in different directions. Literacy, cause and effect, problem solving and so much more learning has been taking place. \r\n\r\nThe water table has endless learning opportunities. We use our new stools and scoops in our classroom daily, and students love the new freedoms they have been granted through flexible seating. During small group work, students love sitting at the back table with the stools because they create more space for students than the large chairs we were using before. Students also like that the stools are portable and can easily be used around their desks for larger group projects. The scoop rockers are a student favorite because they allow them to space out around the room during independent work time. Students like to rock and fidget during their work, and the scoops let students to do just that.\r\n\r\nWhen our packages arrived, it was just like Christmas. I have never seen students so excited for furniture! Everyone took turns trying out the rockers, and the stools were a huge hit for our group table immediately. They also had a great time all trying to stand in the large shipping box, but that is a story for another day. Thank you for bringing joy and flexibility to our third grade classroom. The children are loving the new materials! It has been amazing to watch the children explore and create with these materials. They are getting really creative with making ramps for the cars and trucks to roll up and down. They have been making predictions of whose will go faster and have been problem solving to see how they can make the cars go further.\r\nThe children have also been building cities and other structures over the passed few weeks. The amazing thing is when they finish their structures they are using the \"wooden letters\" to name their structures. They are beginning to sound out letters to try to spell words and have been placing the first letter in their names on top of their creations. The learning that has been taking place with the materials has been a true blessing. \r\nThank you so much for providing my children with opportunities to learn in a play rich environment. They have been making some creative robots the last few weeks and figuring out different ways to make them taller and wider. The baskets have been prefect for storage and the children can easily get to the materials and put the away.
