They instantly transformed our reading corner into the coziest spot in the room, and it has quickly become the most celebrated, highly coveted place to sit. Students who once hesitated to pick up a book now rush to the library during independent reading time, hoping to snag a bean bag and settle in. The chairs have turned reading into something that feels special, calm, and inviting—exactly what our students need to build stamina and confidence. Your generosity didn't just give us furniture; it helped create a joyful reading space that my students look forward to every single day. The new supplies have quickly become part of our daily routines and have given my students a real sense of ownership over their learning.\r\n\r\nStudents now keep tape dispensers right in the bins on their desks, which has completely changed how they work in their notebooks. Instead of waiting for help or losing track of loose papers, they confidently tape charts, graphic organizers, and reference sheets straight into their notebooks on their own. Watching them take charge of their materials has been a small but mighty victory in building accountability.\r\n\r\nWe also set up a marker station in the back of the room—a colorful little hub where students can grab what they need for anchor charts, fluency work, or small-group activities. The folders you helped fund are being used for our new reading fluency program, and they've already made a huge difference in how students keep track of passages, progress charts, and practice materials. With everything organized, they're more focused and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen students first walked in and saw all the new supplies (markers, pencils, glue sticks, tape dispensers, pencil cases) you would've thought it was a second holiday. They were excited, curious, and immediately started exploring how everything worked. One student proudly announced, \"Now we're fancy!\" which I'm taking as the highest form of middle-school praise.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve diving deeper into our fluency program. Students will be using their newly organized folders to track growth, choose new passages, and reflect on their progress. The independence these tools promote is already helping them build habits that will carry them far beyond our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible. Your support didn't just provide supplies, it helped create systems that empower students every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758898949965,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-empowering-student/9476038/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success: Empowering Students With Organization & Accountability","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McQuade","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1453722_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753397264936","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1453722"},{"teacherId":9564268,"projectId":8516692,"letterContent":"My students and I cannot thank you enough!\r\n\r\nThe gentle swaying in the hammock chair that calms a student who arrives at school overstimulated from the bus. The color printer is an essential tool in our classroom, enabling me to design resources like diagrams, graphic organizers, and sorting activities. These colorful visuals make abstract concepts more accessible and help my students better engage with the ELA and Math curricula. \r\nThe students are especially excited by how the materials bring lessons to life. Vocabulary activities with colorful pictures and word matching, as well as math guides with clear, eye-catching visuals, make learning feel more interactive and fun. My students who often struggle with traditional worksheets, have benefited greatly from the visual supports. Other students enjoy hands-on activities that incorporate the colorful resources. \r\nYour support has truly transformed our classroom by making learning more dynamic and inclusive.
