With your generosity, my classroom has added furniture, books, manipulative STEM toys, and visuals. \r\n\r\nThe new resources have been tremendously helpful! Here are some ways they have impacted my classroom:\r\n\r\n*All the books I received teach valuable SEL lessons. We have read many of the stories and learned skills about being mindful, calming strategies, and ways to manage their emotions. \r\n\r\n*My visual timer allows students to see how much time they have left on assignments. Time is very abstract for 1st graders, so seeing a timer that visually shows them how much time they have left is very useful.\r\n\r\n*Furniture I received included bean bag chairs and seat pillows. These allow children to sit comfortable anywhere they wish in the room to complete their work.\r\n\r\n*The STEM materials are a fan favorite! My students LOVE exploring and building with the Magnatiles, clip connects, and Jenga. This helps them to grow their STEM skills and curiosity.\r\n\r\nMy students were SO excited when all the resources arrived! They saw a huge stack of boxes in my room and knew it was all for them. They couldn't WAIT to dive in and see all the new goodies we received.\r\n\r\nNext steps for my students - end of the year fun! Now is the time to apply everything they have learned and end the year with a bang.
