They were super excited everytime a new package came in the mail. Before this project was funded, my students would have to sit to watch a movie during their recess. Now they get to learn board games, build, and create while interacting with other students. We have indoor recess when it is raining, too cold, or too hot to play outside. Ideally, we want them to be able to get their energy out on the playground, but when that isn't possible, it is nice to know that they have something to look forward to inside the classroom. \r\nIt is nice to know that there are people and businesses out there that are willing to help out a classroom need. We want to thank you for being that person for us.","fullyFundedDate":1762189516700,"projectUrl":"project/indoor-recess-materials/9467881/","projectTitle":"Indoor Recess Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wyatt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10081454"},{"teacherId":10081299,"projectId":9467105,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support and for purchasing play-doh, magnetic tiles, stacking rocks, and the Brainometry game for my classroom. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference for my students.\r\n\r\nThese materials provide hands-on learning opportunities that help students build creativity, problem-solving skills, and fine motor development. The play-doh and stacking rocks encourage imagination and perseverance, while the magnetic tiles and Brainometry game help strengthen critical thinking and collaboration. My students are already so excited to use these new tools, and I can see the positive impact they are having on our daily learning.\r\n \r\nThe magnetic tools have been a great tool/toy for my higher learners, as they have used them to practice 2D and 3D shapes as well as fractions, two content areas we have not gotten to yet. We have also used the stacking rocks with my lower students who are struggling with basic math concepts. This group of students often feel discouraged but incorporating the rocks has really made it fun and and they look forward to when I call them back to my table to practice. The stacking rocks has also been used as an incentive for students who are having trouble focusing, students are able to earn some quiet \"calming rocks\" time when they are focused. \r\nI am incredibly grateful for your support and investment in our classroom. Thank you for helping create an engaging and enriching learning environment for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1760716053023,"projectUrl":"project/playing-is-learning/9467105/","projectTitle":"Playing is Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cook","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10081299"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10918","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":451,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.0,"schoolId":10918,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Academy of Leadershp & Technical - Mound on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Academy of Leadershp & Technical - Mound","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/burleson-independent-school-district/mound-elementary-school/10918"}
