Although many people use technology every day, these calculators bring something truly unique to the classroom. They make math visual, intuitive, and accessible for students with different learning needs. The multilingual features have been especially helpful for my English Language Learners, allowing them to navigate functions and instructions in the language they understand best. This has removed a major barrier and given them the confidence to fully engage with grade-level math content.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is how easy the calculators are to use. They love being able to graph equations instantly and see the math come to life on the screen. Some students who normally hesitate during math lessons are now the first to volunteer to solve problems because the calculators help them better understand each step. One student in particular, who often shuts down when tasks feel overwhelming, has been using the NumWorks to check their thinking and build independence, something that has truly boosted their confidence.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided a tool but has created a more equitable learning environment where every student, no matter their language, ability, or background, can participate meaningfully. Thank you for believing in my students and helping break barriers in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758908352883,"projectUrl":"project/breaking-barriers-with-bilingual-calcula/9525471/","projectTitle":"Breaking Barriers with Bilingual Calculators","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9755412_orig.jpg?crop=484,484,x0,y25&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760447665903","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/artinez"},{"teacherId":9226036,"projectId":8802910,"letterContent":"Students were very happy and excited to have a variety of board games to choose from. The new games have transformed our lunchtime into a fun, welcoming space where students can relax, connect, and support their mental health through social interaction. One highlight was watching a student who doesn't usually engage with peers invite others to play Connect 4. Soon, they were all laughing and cheering each other on which is a perfect example of how important it is to provide this kind of space for students.","fullyFundedDate":1727132566367,"projectUrl":"project/boosting-mental-health-through-board-gam/8802910/","projectTitle":"Boosting Mental Health Through Board Games During Lunchtime","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9226036_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726759002607","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9226036"},{"teacherId":9755412,"projectId":9085526,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, I was able to create a safe and welcoming space for my students during Regents Week, a time that can often be stressful and overwhelming. Your donations made it possible to provide snacks throughout the day, helping students stay focused and energized as they studied and completed their exams. Many students took advantage of the quiet space I offered during lunch, where they came to relax, play board games, and take a mental break. These small moments of joy and connection made a big difference in their week.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful moments was when I offered everyday essentials, such as socks, shampoo, toothpaste, and floss, to students who needed them. The response was incredible. Students were surprised and deeply grateful. One student quietly asked if it was okay to take more than one pair of socks, and when I told them yes, their face lit up with relief. These items may seem small, but to students who are facing housing instability or limited resources at home, they meant comfort, dignity, and care.\r\n\r\nThis project has not only helped meet students' basic needs but also strengthened the sense of trust and community in my classroom. Looking ahead, we are working on building routines that support wellness and academic success as we enter the new school year. With your help, we've taken an important step toward ensuring that all students feel supported both inside and outside of the classroom. Thank you for making that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746786449487,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-and-care-essential-supplies-for/9085526/","projectTitle":"Comfort and Care: Essential Supplies for Student Wellness","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9755412_orig.jpg?crop=484,484,x0,y25&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760447665903","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/artinez"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_18805","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":315,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.2,"schoolId":18805,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mott Hall Bronx High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mott Hall Bronx High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/mott-hall-bronx-high-school/18805"}
