Since receiving the new resources, my students have been excited to dive into hands-on projects that were previously out of reach. One example is a recent science experiment where they used the new lab equipment to conduct a series of tests on plant growth. Seeing the students work collaboratively, hypothesize, and record their observations with the new materials was an inspiring moment. They were not only engaged but also able to apply their learning in a way that deepened their understanding of the concepts.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students couldn't contain their excitement. There was a collective \"wow!\" as they unboxed the new resources, and it was clear that they felt empowered to take on more complex tasks. They were eager to experiment and explore, and it was wonderful to see them take ownership of their learning. With these new tools, I've noticed a shift in their confidence they're asking more thoughtful questions and are excited to solve problems creatively.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing to build on these lessons. The students are currently working on a group project where they will use the equipment to design and test their own experiments. This project will be a great opportunity for them to apply the skills they've learned and push their critical thinking further. Thank you for being a part of their educational journey this wouldn't have been possible without your support!","fullyFundedDate":1703106744062,"projectUrl":"project/one-teacher-at-a-time/7933951/","projectTitle":"One Teacher at a Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Key","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9157021_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1696964889292","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9157021"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15211","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":493,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":75,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":24.7,"schoolId":15211,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Moss Point High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Moss Point High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/mississippi/moss-point-school-district/moss-point-high-school/15211"}
