Your support is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.\r\n\r\nThe addition of a refrigerator allows us to expand our hands-on learning through cooking activities, which play a central role in how we teach essential skills. Cooking lessons provide engaging opportunities for students to apply their math skills—such as measuring, sequencing, and fractions—in a real-world context. At the same time, they strengthen ELA learning by encouraging students to follow written recipes, build vocabulary, practice reading comprehension, and write reflections about their experiences.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, cooking fosters independence, teamwork, and confidence. Many of our students will use these skills well into adulthood, and your generosity ensures they have the tools to practice in a supportive environment. The refrigerator makes it possible for us to safely store ingredients and extend our cooking lessons throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their education. Your gift goes beyond a piece of equipment—it opens doors to real-life learning that empowers students both inside and outside the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1749656912395,"projectUrl":"project/the-recipe-for-success-life-skills-lear/9150330/","projectTitle":"The Recipe for Success: Life Skills Learned in the Kitchen","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rhonda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9076386"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35657","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1871,"numTeachers":96,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":52,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":70.4,"schoolId":35657,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Moses Lake High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Moses Lake High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/moses-lake-school-district-161/moses-lake-senior-high-school/35657"}
