My students are using the fidgets during independent reading, writing time, and small-group instruction to help maintain focus and manage their energy. The learning games are now part of our skill-building stations, allowing students to practice reading and comprehension skills in an interactive, hands-on way. One special moment that stood out was watching students who typically struggle to stay engaged remain focused and confidently participate in a lab experiment while using the new tools.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were incredibly excited and curious. Many of them smiled, asked questions, and were eager to try everything right away. They felt proud knowing that someone cared enough to support their success. The reward items have also helped build motivation and celebrate positive behaviors, creating a more encouraging and supportive classroom environment.","fullyFundedDate":1769192012195,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-sped-teacher-bronx-ny/9905851/","projectTitle":"First-Year SpEd Teacher Bronx, NY","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Elsebai","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10354384"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5880","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":445,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":75,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"13.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":47.6,"schoolId":5880,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/morris-academy-collab-studies/5880"}
