In choir, we often work in small groups and sectionals, and these tools allow students to independently practice their vocal parts, follow along with recordings, and access learning materials directly from the tablets. This technology gives them instant feedback and the freedom to take ownership of their learning — a huge step forward in developing confident, self-sufficient musicians.\r\n\r\nThe students are especially excited about being able to work together in smaller groups using the tablets and speakers. They love the clear, high-quality sound from the Sowo speakers, which helps them hear harmonies and blend more accurately. The tablets make it easy for them to access rehearsal tracks, sight-reading apps, and digital sheet music, all without waiting for the teacher's help or the piano to be free. Watching them collaborate and take initiative has been incredible.\r\n\r\nOne group that has especially benefited is our freshman section leaders, who now use the tablets to lead their peers through practice tracks and record progress. Students who were once shy about singing out are now more confident because they can rehearse at their own pace with clear, supportive tools. Your donations didn't just provide technology — they provided empowerment, teamwork, and a stronger, more unified choir family.","fullyFundedDate":1752586592446,"projectUrl":"project/harmonizing-with-tech-empowering-choirs/9390762/","projectTitle":"Harmonizing with Tech: Empowering Choirs with iPads & Bluetooth Speakers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Manes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3577863_orig.jpg?crop=639,639,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748872441108","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3577863"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50675","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":688,"numTeachers":57,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":66,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":50675,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morrilton High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morrilton High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/south-conway-county-school-district/morrilton-senior-high-school/50675"}
