It couldn't have come in a better time. Thank you to your kindness, my students are able to dry our students' artwork, which makes a world of a difference in daily activities. This addition not only helps to preserve their creative efforts, but it also encourages them to take pride in their work. \r\n\r\nMy students have had the joy of creating little masterpieces. One of the best moments was realizing they could finally put their artwork in a safe place altogether at once to dry their work. They appreciated their first project in the drying rack; which was a masterpiece for Mother's Day. My students were amazed to see a Drying Rack become one of their favorite things to look forward to and knowing that this has made a meaningful impact on our learning environment. Secondly, I would like to apologize for the late thank you message. I had not realized I had never sent this. For this I truly apologize. \r\nMy students love reading the books in my classroom. We use them to read together as a group or sometimes I just read to them. They enjoy listening to me read and discuss the events in the story with them. We have great discussions!\r\nOne of the greatest positive outcomes is that the kids love reading! We read because we have to in my reading groups to help them become better readers but they do not see this as a punishment or embarrassed by it. They are actually excited to come to my class and to read the next story. They have come to the point where they actually ask me for the topics of the stories they would like to read about! That's truly amazing to me.\r\nI am truly appreciative of your generosity. Like you, I am an avid reader. I read for fun and knowledge not because I have to but because I want to. That is what I want to instill in my students and I believe I am approaching that goal with all the help from you.","fullyFundedDate":1694435186487,"projectUrl":"project/reading-encourages-adventure-and-imagina/7589424/","projectTitle":"Reading Encourages Adventure and Imagination!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Valdez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3401575"},{"teacherId":1673968,"projectId":8727440,"letterContent":"On behalf of the Kindergarten class at Morningside Elementary, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation. The materials provided through your donation have already made a remarkable impact on my students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe excitement and enthusiasm from the children when they received these materials were truly unforgettable. With your donation, they now have access to a variety of resources that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and, most importantly, independence. In particular, the math storage and bins have been incredibly helpful. The students are now able to easily find the necessary tools they need as we work through math lessons. This organization has made a world of difference, allowing them to focus more on their learning without the frustration of searching for materials.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, during our STEAM time at the end of the day, the students are able to tap into their creativity and challenge the skills they've previously learned. With these materials, they have become more confident and independent in exploring new concepts and applying their knowledge in innovative ways.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has not only supported our classroom but has also helped create a nurturing environment where each child can thrive. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and support, and we look forward to seeing the positive long-term impact these materials will continue to have on our students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a wonderful difference in the lives of our young learners. These resources have sparked their curiosity and inspired them to dive deeper into topics they find fascinating. For example, during our unit on animals and habitats, students eagerly explored books about the rainforest, oceans, and desert life. It's been amazing to see their faces light up as they discover new facts and eagerly share their findings with their classmates.\r\n\r\nWhen the books first arrived, the excitement in the classroom was electric. Students were flipping through the pages, pointing out pictures and interesting details, and immediately asking if they could take the books home to share with their families. Their enthusiasm has shown me how much they value having access to these engaging materials, and it's made learning feel like an adventure for all of us.\r\n\r\nThese books are not just for individual exploration—they've also been a cornerstone of group projects and discussions. Right now, we're working on creating \"Fact Files,\" where students choose a topic, gather information from the books, and present their findings to the class. The next step is to connect what they're learning to larger questions, such as how people can help protect the environment or make discoveries in science. Your support has truly made a lasting impact, and I can't wait to see how my students continue to grow as curious and informed learners!","fullyFundedDate":1731940522230,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-curiosity-nonfiction-adventur/8660876/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Curiosity: Nonfiction Adventures for Young Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pantoja","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8019822_orig.jpg?crop=4284,4284,x723,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723700004541","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8019822"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69312","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":493,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":16,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":84.0,"schoolId":69312,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morningside Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morningside Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/delano-union-school-district/morningside-elementary-school/69312"}
