When my wobble stools arrived, the boxes were delivered to my room and my students were buzzing with excitement! \"Ms. Wilkins, what's in the boxes?\" I opened one and I explained that they were purchased with money donated by people who want you to do your best! They were SO excited! \"Can we use them today?\" We had a frenzy of box opening and seat assembling and then we decided a good way to make sure that everyone got a turn to try one was to set a timer to put them on a rotation for the class period. It was So fun to see them so excited about having the wobble stools. I heard them say things like, \"These are the best!\" \"I wish all teachers had them.\" \"My teacher last year had some of these. I picked one every day.\" \r\n\r\nNow that the novelty has worn off a bit, they still get continual use! I have them under the front table and students can use them when they want to. sometimes a student will use one for the whole class period and sometimes students will start with one, get the wiggles out and put it back for another student to use. I love how lightweight and easy to move they are and how it gives kids the autonomy to choose for themselves a seat that will help them learn best at the time. Having these seats also allows us to easily pull together for a small group for reading and discussing a text. \r\n\r\nThese wobble stools really allow for flexibility in our classroom!
