Because of your donations, we were able to stock our room with whiteboard markers, mini whiteboards, pencils, a pencil sharpener, and anchor chart paper. These materials have already made a noticeable difference. My students have been especially excited about the mini whiteboards. Several students have been using them to draw pictures to show their thinking before explaining their ideas in English. This simple tool has become a powerful bridge between their creativity and their developing language skills!!\r\n\r\nYour kindness also ensured that every student has what they need to learn. Their faces lit up in disbelief when they saw how many pencils were available to them. And as always, the anchor chart paper has helped me create visuals that make English concepts clearer and more accessible. Thank you again for believing in my students and supporting the work we do every day. Your generosity truly impacts their learning and their confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1755698768741,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success/9537318/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rupple","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9087754"},{"teacherId":8308389,"projectId":9543587,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students and I have been able to create a more organized, engaging, and positive classroom environment! The new materials have quickly become a part of our daily routines and classroom culture. The pencil parking chart has been a game-changer—students take pride in keeping their pencils in their designated spots, which has greatly reduced interruptions during lessons. Our colorful supply caddies make transitions smoother, and students love having everything they need within easy reach.\r\n\r\nThe reward system has also been a huge hit! When students earn a ticket and see me stamp it with my special teacher stamp, their faces light up. The Sour Punch Twists have become a favorite motivational treat, and it's been wonderful watching students encourage each other to earn them through positive behavior and responsibility.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, especially the world map border and bright organization tools, they were genuinely excited. Many commented that the room \"looked like a real middle school classroom\" and that it felt like a \"fresh start.\"\r\n\r\nRight now, my students are focusing on responsibility and teamwork as part of our classroom community goals. These resources continue to support that mission every day—helping them stay organized, motivated, and proud of their learning space. During the school day, I've been able to offer snacks to students who come to class hungry or need a quick boost to stay focused. It's helped create a more positive and supportive environment where students can concentrate and stay engaged in their learning. After school, the board game club has become even more enjoyable—snacks are used as small prizes or shared treats that add to the fun and build a sense of community.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students were excited and grateful. Their reactions were full of enthusiasm, and it was clear that the snacks made them feel appreciated and supported. It turned an ordinary part of the day into something special, and it helped reinforce that our classroom and club are safe, welcoming spaces.\r\n\r\nCurrently, in the classroom, students are working on group projects that involve reading, writing, and presenting their ideas to peers. The snacks have helped maintain focus during longer work sessions. In board game club, students are getting ready to host a game day event where they'll lead activities, explain rules, and encourage teamwork. Your donation has truly helped fuel learning, leadership, and fun throughout the day.","fullyFundedDate":1746841326116,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-sweets-for-students/9301014/","projectTitle":"Snacks & Sweets for Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kellogg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8308389_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1643747155589","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8308389"},{"teacherId":8308389,"projectId":9063210,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our \"Critical and Strategical Thinking Board Games\" project! Your generosity has made a huge impact in our classroom, and I am excited to share how these resources have been put to great use.\r\n\r\nWhen the games first arrived, my students were thrilled! There were lots of excited conversations, curious questions, and huge smiles as they explored the colorful boxes and read the rules. Some students immediately recognized a few classic games, while others were eager to dive into new ones they had never seen before.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've been using the games during both ELA and social studies lessons. During ELA, students have practiced strategic thinking and communication by playing games that require clear explanation of ideas and quick decision-making. In social studies, we've tied the games into our discussions about historical decision-making, teamwork, and the impact of choices on events. The games have also become a favorite part of our Friday Board Game Club, where students across all skill levels come together to collaborate, compete, and build community.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was during a recent Board Game Club meeting when a quieter student confidently taught Blokus to a group of classmates. Watching students step into leadership roles and apply critical thinking skills in real time has been incredible.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to extend our work by having students create their own strategy-based games as part of an upcoming unit. They will apply everything they have learned about decision-making, planning, and teamwork to design games that could be played by others—a perfect combination of creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration!\r\n\r\nYour donation has truly made our classroom a more dynamic, engaging, and thoughtful place.
