One of the most impactful changes we've made in our classroom environment has been adjusting the furniture—specifically, ensuring that the tables are the right height for the children. While it may seem like a minor detail, having tables that match the size and needs of young learners has had a meaningful and noticeable impact on their comfort, focus, and overall learning experience. Since implementing the change, we've seen children stay more engaged during work time. They are more likely to remain seated and focused without constant reminders, which has increased their ability to complete tasks. We've also noticed that transitions between activities are smoother, as children feel more comfortable and settled in their spaces. This change also supports important developmental needs. At this stage, young children are still building body awareness, coordination, and endurance for school tasks. Creating a physical environment that matches their developmental level helps reduce barriers to learning. Good posture and table height support proper alignment of the shoulders, arms, and wrists, which is especially important for early writing and drawing skills. Over time, these seemingly small supports lead to better motor development and stronger academic readiness. \r\nThank you again for helping make this improvement possible.
