These books have helped to connect the setting and the characters to the story. They could not wait for math time to explore. \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use these new learning tools throughout the entire school year. We use them for small group math centers. It is important for children to learn through play and explore and build. We need to work all parts of our brains. The pop it manipulatives can be used for building numbers, adding, and subtracting. We will read the books whole group, discuss the books, and then do activities small group. When students are done with their work, they can go to library area to look at books as well. We have used the \"menu's\" for cvc and digraphs already! They love grabbing them and working independently on them. Every morning we use the paddle boards to create words. We tap it, map it, graph it, write it on the front. The back we use for super words and making sentences. They love the size of them! \r\n\r\nStudents love to use the pop it games during small group! They work in small groups and indpendently, depending on their choice. The menus are a part of our rotating centers as well. I can easily change out activities for each student and they all have a menu.
