My students' faces light up with excitement when they find that I can provide them with something that they need that day.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, having these resources means more than just having essentials for school—it means feeling cared for and to know that people in their community are here for them. Your generosity has helped create a classroom environment where learning feels engaging, comfortable, and full of possibility.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and our future. Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\nThe materials were a perfect fit for a hands-on fiber arts unit I led while long-term subbing for this class. We used the embroidery hoops, floss, and needles to learn basic stitches, and each student created a mini embroidery piece that reflected something meaningful to them—a symbol, a word, or even just a cool pattern they designed themselves. It was a calming, creative project that gave students a real sense of pride and ownership.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\nThey were thrilled! For many of them, it was their first time working with embroidery, so the colorful floss and real tools felt very special. There was so much excitement as they chose their colors and started stitching. A few students even said it was their favorite project of the year!\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\nSince I was a long-term substitute, I made sure to leave all of the remaining materials organized and ready for their regular teacher's return. My hope is that she'll be able to continue exploring textile arts with them and that these resources will keep inspiring creativity long after my time in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1729563534766,"projectUrl":"project/were-learning-crosspoint/8737106/","projectTitle":"We’re Learning Crosspoint!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Julie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9629563_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724499409127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9629563"},{"teacherId":6238052,"projectId":8564560,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping my students use their technology appropriately.
