Experiencing Edward's joys and hardships helped students understand that everyone faces challenges—some more difficult than others. Flora and Ulysses beautifully tied into our theme of friendship and reminded us how important it is in our lives.\r\n\r\nThe 4th graders are eagerly awaiting their turn to begin Fourth Grade Rats in our next unit. They've been asking every week if it's time to start! I was so excited to share books I read at their same age. They have really liked \"The Boxcar Children\" and \"Hardy Boys.\"\r\nIt has been such a joy watching them recommend books to each other and to come and tell me they read more than they planned too. I can't wait until they have each been able to read all the books they want to read.\r\nThank you so much for helping put new books into my students' hands.
