Next year, I am going to use the laptop in creating my Morning Meeting slides, lesson plans, and to plan my teams pacing guide for the year. My students are enjoying their big study on birds. Last week a student had her mom send in a picture of some mourning doves she spotted in a nest of a tree near her house. Over the past few weeks, students researched a specific bird of their choice and became an expert about that bird. Then, they wrote a riddle for others to solve to guess the bird that they researched. They had so much fun guessing what birds their friends had chosen from the list that we had.\r\n\r\nSince we received our supplies, we have had a large bird feeder on our classroom window, and have been visited by some house finch and a beautiful male cardinal. Every time there is a visitor at the window, we stop and take a few minutes to observe the birds.\r\n\r\nAs we approach the end of this exciting study, we will use our bird houses you so generously helped provide for us. Students were so excited to construct and paint their own personalized bird house to take home. Each student will also receive some bird seed to put on the base of the bird house in order to try to attract some birds of their own.\r\n \r\nI cannot thank you enough for all your donations that helped provide the materials to create this experience for our first graders.","fullyFundedDate":1738529294690,"projectUrl":"project/birdhouse-project-for-soaring-learners/9090090/","projectTitle":"Birdhouse Project for Soaring Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jusko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp570288_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706661886644","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/570288"},{"teacherId":8070110,"projectId":8954731,"letterContent":"Thank you so much to all of the donors who gave this project!
