Within the classroom, I set up baskets filled with hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes, tissues, chapsticks, and hand cream. One of my favorite moments was seeing students excitedly take a tissue or hand sanitizer for the first time and immediately use it, showing they understood how these resources help protect themselves and their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were wonderful — they were grateful and enthusiastic about having these tools readily available. Many commented that it made them feel safer and more comfortable at school, knowing they could help prevent the spread of germs.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, students are missing fewer days due to illness, which means they are able to stay caught up in all of their classes. Our next steps include continuing to encourage daily use of these supplies, incorporating healthy hygiene habits into classroom routines, and tracking how fewer absences positively impact learning and engagement. Your support has given our students the tools to stay healthy, present, and fully engaged in school every day, and we are so thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1758636795738,"projectUrl":"project/keeping-bulldogs-safe-and-healthy/9670133/","projectTitle":"Keeping Bulldogs Safe and Healthy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047517_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759261408546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047517"},{"teacherId":10047517,"projectId":9491717,"letterContent":"When our new supplies arrived, our Student Council members were so excited to get started. They immediately began brainstorming how to use the poster board and decorative cutouts to create colorful displays for our Bulldog Business period. One group designed a \"Welcome Back\" board to kick off the year, while others worked on posters to promote upcoming activities. It was incredible to see their creativity come to life and their pride in decorating the school for their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe reaction from our students was just as inspiring. When they walked into the halls and saw the bright posters and decorations, many stopped to take a closer look. Some even commented, \"Wow, Student Council is really doing something new this year!\" That kind of feedback gave our council members the motivation to keep pushing forward with more ideas to build school spirit and engagement.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping us grow beyond simply planning Homecoming. Our Student Council is now creating monthly activities that bring students together, encourage involvement, and give everyone a reason to feel proud of being part of MHS. Next, we'll be launching themed activities during Bulldog Business to boost student connections and school pride. Thanks to your support, we have the tools to make our school a more exciting, welcoming place for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1755712624235,"projectUrl":"project/bulldogs-working-to-promote-school-pride/9491717/","projectTitle":"Bulldogs Working to Promote School Pride","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047517_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759261408546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047517"},{"teacherId":10047517,"projectId":9388709,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kindness. The beginning of the school year can be hard for teachers and students. We, as teachers, feel like we are creating a new family each year. As we create these new families, we want to take care of our new students wants and needs, which can make a dent in our purses. With your kind support, I was able to buy a variety of school supplies, from spiral notebooks and pencils to composition notebooks and sharpies. These are supplies that the students not only need for my classroom, but in a number of other classrooms throughout the school. I was able to share these supplies with my students and have them not worry about spending money (which their families may or may have) on school supplies. I was also able to buy snacks for the students as well. There are times they come to class hunger and need a little pick me up. It's nice to have snacks readily available for students to have to eat. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. The students and I are so very grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1749142677348,"projectUrl":"project/ms-taylors-school-supplies-and-snack-c/9388709/","projectTitle":"Ms. Taylor’s School Supplies and Snack Cart","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10047517_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759261408546","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10047517"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9605","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":322,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":47,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":9605,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Millsap High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Millsap High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/millsap-independent-school-district/millsap-high-school/9605"}
