We received seat pouches, name tag holders, zippered pencil bags as well as several items for learning centers. My class and I are extremely grateful to all of you for supporting our classroom. \r\n The seat pouches are a game changer. The students are able to store their own materials inside them and find them easily when needed. They can store their small materials in the pencils pouches inside the seat pockets and find them easily as well. \r\n For centers, we received many items from your contributions. We now have upper and lowercase letter stamps and new ink pads to help us practice letter recognition, letter sounds and spelling new words. It has been a great way for all students to practice these skills while they are still learning to write all of the letters. \r\n Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom to help us all to learn and grow.","fullyFundedDate":1753811549758,"projectUrl":"project/pouches-for-pupils-a-pocket-full-of-pos/9316994/","projectTitle":"Pouches for Pupils: A Pocket Full of Possibilities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10012963_orig.jpg?crop=1643,1643,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753644675007","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/erin-garcia-hawes"},{"teacherId":8356943,"projectId":9460148,"letterContent":"I just wanted to say how thankful my preschool class is for the all the items we were able to get from this Donor's Choose project because of your generosity. Once I added these to my center the children have been loving playing in there. We also added the BBQ grill and the baby toys to our dramatic play center which they love playing mommy and daddy with the baby dolls. They are fascinated by the disappearing liquid in the baby bottles. My students say how grateful they are for people like you who are able to donated to underprivileged classrooms. We play the games on the back and my students love using the electronic webpage's as additional learning. They really look forward to working on these together. The new resources we have available are consistently being used during small group instruction. For example, high frequency words are important in kindergarten, as they help us build our foundation of reading and writing. Being able to learn these high frequency words and become comfortable with them through hands- on activities such as gel boards and letter beads on pipe cleaners, has created excitement in the learning process. The students can't wait for their groups to be called! \r\nThe students are so engaged with the new materials that they constantly say they wish they could build sight word bracelets for their friends to keep!
