The board games and conversation cards to help students practice communication, turn taking, and problem solving, while tools like sand trays, white boards, and drawing tablets support early writing and fine motor skills. They love their indoor and outdoor recess things. Your donation has come in handy lately. It's been raining frequently lately and they had so many indoor recesses. They loved having choices of what they can do and also love that they have an umbrella to use so they stay dry while walking to the bathroom! When the sun does come out, they enjoy kicking the soccer ball! It's one ball that goes out almost daily!\r\n\r\nAnother thing that is used regularly are the stamps! I love adding this extra color and design to the student's completed assignments. They love also being able to choose one or being able to stamp it themselves! These stamps add a little extra incentive to the students completing their assignment!\r\n\r\nWe weren't able to use all of these items just yet. I plan on doing more art projects with the sharpie and tissue paper. The privacy shields have created dedicated \"distraction-free zones.\" Students now proactively use them not just for assessments, but whenever they need to enter a state of deep focus. The students love using the whiteboards and many students choose to use it to show their work for their online assignments, instead of using the digital tools. It's also a great way for me to quickly assess student learning and participation. \r\n Students thrive when they have a voice in their learning environment.
